St Andrew’s Catholic Primary School is a Catholic, child centred, co-educational primary school from Kindergarten to Year 6. (Playgroup Years of age of 1, 2, 3 is also in operation.) The school is located in Victorsen Parade, Clarkson with close connection to public transport and Anthony Waring Park. St Andrew’s is situated in an environmentally green belt.
Specialist teachers provide Indonesian, Physical Education, Library, Music and ICT including robotics, use of a full computer lab, drones and coding lessons.
We are also involved in interschool athletics, swimming lessons, regional tournaments, competitions, lightning carnivals, performing arts, afterschool sports clubs and cross-country competitions.
Other opportunities for student involvement include instrumental lessons (drums, piano, guitar, woodwind and brass), band, choir, Chess Club, ‘Young Vinnies’ and STREAM (Science Technology Religion Engineering Arts and Mathematics) Club.
Small class sizes encourage close supervision of children’s progress. At St Andrew’s all students have a voice and each child is seen, heard and applauded for their efforts and achievements.
St Andrew’s School uses the Archdiocese of Perth ‘Religious Education Guidelines’ and embeds ‘the Making Jesus Real Program’ to supplement the children’s teachings in Religious Education.
We have close links with St Andrew’s Parish. OSHClub operates out of school hours and Vacation Care from our school site and neighbouring sites.
